The Rheems Athletic Association's purpose is to provide a safe, fun, & rewarding atmosphere for all children within our community, who choose to participate in our multiple venues. Registration Listing

Soccer - 2023 Spring Intramural

The Intramural soccer program exposes the younger players to the fundamentals of soccer. For 8 weeks, during practices, the players will rotate in teams between stations set up by IM Coordinator. The stations are designed for them to learn the basics while having fun. Volunteer parents become the coach for a team of kids. On Saturdays, the teams will be encouraged to use skills learned during practices during inter-squad team games.

U6 practices Wednesday nights - 5:30-6:30pm

U8 practices - Tuesday and Thursday nights - 5:30-6:30pm

Games are played on Saturday mornings

U8 - 8:40am - 10am (approx - games are 4 - 12 min quarters, started when enough players arrive)

U6 - 10:15am -11:15am

Soccer - 2023 Spring Recreation

The LARS Recreational soccer program has boys and girls teams at ages U10, U12, U15 and U19

Here is a little information about our LARS Recreational program

· Similar time and travel commitments to CPYSL

· Ideal for new, less experienced, and developing players

· Lower costs compared to CPYSL

· Single season commitment

· Two year age divisions – ie. U10, U12, U15

· When there are multiple teams in an age group, teams are built to be equally matched

· Uniform purchase for separate fee – blue jersey, blue shorts, blue socks

· Typically participate in end of year tournament day, extra small fee per player

SPRING IM REFEREES NEEDED!
Our U6/U8 teams are looking to have former high school players be non-certified referees for their games. This is a chance for the former player to give back to the program and see what it's like from a referee point of view. It's also an opportunity for our youngest player to see where their soccer careers can take them. Please contact Lou Gober at [email protected] for more information.
