Elizabethtown United Travel Tryouts

At Etown United Soccer, we want everyone to play, so we decided to move away from “tryouts”.  All players who love the game and want to play this great sport are welcome.  We do believe players of similar ability, commitment, and passion should play together.

All players that know or are considering to play in the Fall 2022 should participate in this Day of Play.  There will be warm-ups, a few fun drills, then small sided games.  It will also be an opportunity to meet the coaches, meet your teammates, play lots of soccer.  If you want your child considered for our 2022-2023 CPYSL teams, attendance is required.  For any new or current players to the Club, parents can request their child be evaluated to help understand the best placement and different options for their child.

Please bring your normal practice attire and equipment (cleats, shin guards, ball, water bottle, etc.)

Pre-Registration preferred -
select CPYSL Travel, LARS Recreation or IM program
for the Fall 2022-2023 season
(If you are unsure of program placement, but would like your child to attend and participate in the Open Day of Play - please contact Etown United President or Kristi Ritter using the emails below)

Registration begins May 2nd

NOTE:  What is the difference between the Etown United Programs that are offered?  (CPYSL and LARS)

CPYSL

-       One-year, Fall and Spring commitment.  Winter leagues are optional, based on coaches preference

-       Games played within the Central PA area (average 30-45 miles; could be up to 90 miles from Etown)

-       Slightly higher costs compared to LARS (Varies by age group)

-       Single year age divisions – ie. U9, U10, U11

-       Players will be provided a “Players Card” by the league with birth certificate verification

-       Teams compete at the highest level/division that their team is able to participate in

-       Uniform purchase separate fee:  blue jersey, white jersey, blue shorts, blue socks, white socks

-       1 Tournament per season is suggested, additional may be added at coaches preference

LARS

-       Similar time and travel commitments to CPYSL

-       Ideal for new, less experienced, and developing players

-       Lower costs compared to CPYSL

-       Single season commitment

-       Two year age divisions – ie. U10, U12, U15

-       When there are multiple teams in an age group, teams are built to be equally matched

-       Uniform purchase separate fee – blue jersey, blue shorts, blue socks

-       Typically participate in end of year tournament day, extra small fee per player
